Q. Why should I trust this trade-in program?
A: HTC Trade Up and our administrator Clover Wireless (The Wireless Source "TWS") have more than 20 years' experience evaluating and trading in used electronics. Together we provide the maximum trade-in value for your used phone. If necessary, we will instead determine the most environmentally friendly and fully compliant way to recycle it.
Q. How do I get paid?
A: Simply start the process by selecting your qualifying used smartphone and answering a couple of questions about it. We'll then give you an estimate for your phone. Next you buy a new HTC One® phone and send us the required information. We'll then email you clear instructions for packaging and mailing in your old device. Once Clover Wireless verifies the phone you're trading in meets the requirements, you will be mailed a prepaid Visa Card for the estimated value. Please note the card is issued mailed from Clover Wireless, not HTC.
Q. What happens with my smartphone once I mail it in?
A: Clover Wireless reconditions the phone for resale or recycles it. We employ a zero tolerance landfill policy.
Q. Could my phone be resold overseas?
A: Yes, frequently overseas markets have a greater demand for previously owned consumer electronics. We remarket only fully functional products to legitimate businesses overseas.
Q. Do you ever donate items?
A: Yes. Sometimes Clover Wireless donates phones to shelters, senior citizen homes and schools.
Q. Are you a certified recycler?
A: Yes. Clover Wireless is a certified, audited and registered ISO 14001 reseller and recycler. We work with a dedicated end-of-life service partner who is both BAN and RIOS certified and exceeds all government regulations.

A: We encourage you to clear any personal data before mailing it in. Once a phone is mailed, it cannot be returned. For phones with built-in memory, all numbers, contacts, data files and other information are completely erased and the device is restored to its original settings. Any SIM cards received with phones are removed and destroyed.
